Q:Does the remote have to be in view of the battery pack to turn it on and off? What's the furthest distance remote can be away from the battery pack?
A:It does but will work from 25 to 30 ft away
Q:It say USB so does it come with the battery pack?
A:No battery pack, however, you could use a usb battery bank to keep it lighted.
Q:Can you trim off part of the lights to shorten the length?
A:Technically yes but it exposes the wires then. It is literally just two wires connected to led lights. You could just cover the end.
Q:where do I buy batteries for the remotes? And what kind of batteries?
A:The battery door is at the bottom of the remote. You will need to push the button and pull the tray out. The battery is a CR2025.
Q:Can this lights be used on a Christmas tree?
A:Yes, you can wrap it on Christmas trees or any other flowers, 8 light modes will help you create a wonderful warm night.
