heat sink  is warm age-hardened aluminum  alloy according to EN AW 99.5(Aluminum 1070) Our standard surface

treatments are raw degreased aluminum (Al) and black anodize (A3). On request, we anodize  clear natural (A1)

or decorative in any color  that is technically possible.

Feature

Splayed pin fin heat sinks are relatively new derivatives of the standard pin fin heat sink. Unlike standard pin fin heat sinks, which contain an array of vertically oriented pins, splayed pin fins features pins that gradually bend outward.Curving the pins in this way increases the spacing between the pins and allows surrounding air streams to enter and exit the pin array more efficiently without sacrificing surface area.he impact of increased pin  spacing on heat sink performance is magnified at lower air speeds because weak air streams have less power to penetrate the array of pins.

In low air speed environments and in natural convection, the increased spacing between the pins reduces the

heat sink's thermal resistance by up to thirty percent versus a standard pin fin heat sink. As a result, splayed pin fins are recommended for low and moderate airspeed environments and for natural convection cooling.

1:The values indicated in the diagrams apply only for heat sinks with black Anodize , mounted vertically and
    natural convection
2:The mentioned heat sink  profiles in our catalogue contain so called extrusion marks between the fins for a profile
   identification. To avoid misuse the operator has to check the size and position for the mechanical treatment or
   placement of the components.
3:Machining of our extruded  and forging conforms to requirements of DIN ISO 2768
