According to the latest forecast report released by Dell'Oro group, the shipment volume of DWDM system coherent ports is expected to reach 1.3 million by 2024. 400gbps ports will account for the majority of these port shipments.
"We expect DWDM system related port shipments to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 18%," said Jimmy Yu, vice president of Dell'Oro group. From the perspective of capacity shipment, we expect that 400gbps coherent line card will occupy the highest proportion share, and this wavelength speed will achieve the perfect balance of capacity, performance and price in man and long-distance optical fiber network. "
Other highlights of the report include:
