Summary:Heat pump FAQ (Part 1)

heat pump

The familiar “pump” is a kind of mechanical equipment which can improve potential energy. For example, the water pump mainly increases water level or water pressure, while the “heat pump” is a kind of equipment which can obtain low-level heat from air, water or soil in nature, and output high-grade heat which can be used by people through electric power work. It is an energy- saving, environmental protection, clean heating and hot water equipment, and heat pump technology. It is a new technology that attracts much attention all over the wold in recent years.

1. How to understand “heat pump”?

For example, a car can transport several tons of goods from one place to another with a few liters of gasoline. Heat pump unit can absorb heat from nature through the “handling” of heat pump(power driven heat pump) to obtain heat energy that can be used in production and life.

2. How many kinds of heat pump are there?

According to different heat source, heat pump can be divided into air source heat pump, water source heat pump and ground source heat pump.

3. Is the heat pump water heater a solar product?

Generally speaking, yes,but there are essential differences between heat pump units and conventional solar products, mainly reflected in the different working principles: conventional solar products must rely on direct sunlight or radiation to achieve heating effect, and heat pump units mainly absorb heat energy in the environment to achieve heating effect.

4. What is the principle does heat pump unit collect heat?

There is a special heat-absorbing medium-refrigerant in the equipment of heat pump unit, which is lower than 20 deg c below zero in liquefaction state. There is a temperature difference between the refrigerant and the outside temperature. Therefore, the refrigerant can absorb the heat energy from outside, evaporate and vaporize inside the evaporator, raise the temperature of the refrigerant through the work of the compressor in heat pump unit, and then convert the refrigerant from vaporization state to liquefaction state through the condenser, and turn around. In the chemical process, a large amount of heat is released and transferred to the reserve water in the water tank, which makes the water temperature rise and achieves the purpose of hot water production. This is the unique feature of the product and the reason for the market potential.
