International Labor Day, also known as "May Day" or "International Workers' Day", is a national holiday in more than 80 countries in the world. It is scheduled to be on the 1st of May each year.
It is a festival shared by working people all over the world. In July 1889, Second International, led by Engels, held a congress in Paris. The meeting passed a resolution stipulating that international workers hold a march on May 1, 1890, and decided to designate May 1 as International Labor Day.
The Central People's Government Administration Council decided in December 1949 to designate May 1 as Labor Day. Since 1989, the State Council has basically commended national labor models and advanced workers every five years, with about 3,000 people being commended each time. On March 22, 2019, the General Office of the State Council adjusted the holiday schedule for Labor Day in 2019, and took a four-day holiday from May 1 to 4, 2019.
In observation of Labor Day, Jiayang Socks will have a 5-day break from May 1-5. Some our workers and Workshop managers will leave in the evening on May 1 to get back to their hometown. Big family will get together to do some jobs, chat some social hot spots, prepare and have dinner together.
