Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), like oil and natural gas, is a fossil fuel. Liquefied gas is a mixture composed of a variety of low-boiling gases in the petroleum refining process, and has no fixed composition. The main components are butene, propylene, butane and propane. Although most energy companies do not specialize in the production of liquefied petroleum gas, it contains a certain amount of output because it is a by-product in the refining process of other fuels.
LPG is mainly composed of propane (C3H8) and butane (C4H10), and some LPG also contains propylene (C3H6) and butene (C4H8). LPG is generally obtained from petroleum gas in oil and gas fields, refineries or ethylene plants. Compared with other fuels, LPG has the following unique advantages:
(1) Less pollution
LPG is a hydrocarbon composed of C3 (carbon three) and C4 (carbon four), which can be completely burned without dust. Application in modern cities can greatly reduce the pollution caused by coal and firewood as fuel in the past.
(2) High heat
The calorific value of the same weight of LPG is equivalent to twice that of coal, and the liquid calorific value is 45 185 ~ 45 980kJ/kg.
(3) Easy to transport
LPG is a gas at normal temperature and pressure. It can be liquefied into a liquid under a certain pressure or frozen to a certain temperature. It can be transported on land and water by train (or automobile) tanker or LPG ship.
(4) Stable pressure
LPG pipeline users have the same pressure in front of the stove, which is convenient for users.
(5) Simple storage and flexible supply
Compared with the production, storage and supply of city gas, LPG storage equipment is relatively simple. Gas stations are stored in LPG tanks, which can be installed in gas cylinders for users, or through gas distribution stations and supply pipe networks. Pipeline gas supply is implemented; butane gas can even be filled in small bottles to be used as hot pot fuel on the dining table, which is convenient to use.
Because LPG has the above advantages, it is widely used as industrial, commercial and domestic fuel. At the same time, its chemical composition determines that LPG is also a very useful chemical raw material, so it is also widely used in the production of various chemical products.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas Power Generation System (abbreviated as: LPGP) mainly utilizes the liquefied petroleum gas obtained during the catalytic cracking and thermal cracking of crude oil in the refinery. LPGP is composed of two parts, namely the heating and gasification part of liquid petroleum gas and the power generation part of gas internal combustion engine. The main equipment of the first part is a gasifier (including filtering, pressure regulating, and stabilizing devices), and the main equipment of the second part is a gas internal combustion engine power generation system. The process of LPGP is as follows: the liquefied petroleum gas is output from the gas supply, through the gasifier module, the gas is transformed from liquid to gas, and then filtered, regulated and stabilized, and then sent to the gas internal combustion engine generator set for power generation.
Technical characteristics of LPGP:
(1) Liquefied petroleum gas is a hydrocarbon composed of C3 (carbon three) and C4 (carbon four), which can be burned completely without dust.
(2) Broaden the application of liquefied petroleum gas in power generation
(3) Compared with liquefied petroleum gas high-speed generator sets, the large-bore, low-speed engine used by LPGP is more stable and reliable.
