1) Rice Husk:

The rice husk is the husk of grain, the outer skin of rice, rich in cellulose, lignin and silicon dioxide (SiO2)

It’s belong to short fiber category, the nature is hard, to act as raw materials, high temperature molding manufactured goods, reach  8.9/10 shore hardness (TUV hardness testing reference: ISO 868: 2003.)

The uncrushed rice husk cannot be decomposed after buried in the soil for a hundred years.

After crushing and disintegration of the fiber, buried in the soil under natural environment, after approx 180 days, it could be degraded completely and digested by soil fungus (Reference TUV degradation test report: DIN EN 13432:2000.)


2 ) Cases of pest resistant for rice husk:

The National Grain Bureau will store (ungrind) grain at least 2 years then will be released to rice mill process for market consume. After storage of crude husk for a long time, when peel off the husk of grain, the rice still intact. But once rice storage is mismanagement, weevil and insects will nibble the grain.

Archaeologists even dig into the tomb of a thousand years, found the funerary objects with ungrinded rice grains; the rice is still intact and edible after peel off the husk.

The above data shows a strong husk skin protection of ungrind rice husk, it can be anti bacterial, anti fungal, durable storage under certain conditions.

Rice Husk (grain skin) is very rich in silicon dioxide (SiO2) which is natural wax, it’s superior nature capability could withstand high temperature and anti odor, therefore, it had the same characteristics when used it as the main raw material to make tableware.


3) Pesticide Residues (Ref. TUV Raw materials 251 pesticide test report: BS EN 15662:2008 ):

For all farming products, people always worry about pesticide and residual treatment as all farm chemical residuals are heavy metal material, will give great harm to the health of consumers. Farm chemical is a kind of chemical pesticide which is strictly control by national, but all farm chemicals have volatile period, farmers usually sprinkle pesticide one month before harvest to protect grain leaf nibble by insect, pest and to avoid bacterial corrosion of grain stem. General pesticide residue will slowly volatile and disappear within 14-21 days with sun and rain. Rice husk contain material with fine precision structure for antibacterial, to protect the rice beneath the husk, in addition, farmers to erect the scarecrow to beware of birds pecking and expecting for harvest. The rice plant is grow on peak of the rice stem, therefore normally pesticide residues does not exist on rice plant during harvest.


4) Natural adhesives (Reference TUV test report: CONTENT-7P PHTHALATES):

Plant starch is a kind of natural adhesive with high viscosity, in ancient times, people use it to bind with soil to build walls, it is extremely strong. But this natural bonding material object is not suitable for soaking in water for a long time, because water will decompose the adhesive structure easily.

Through years of research and discovery, Husk’sware success to use plant polymer starch, lignin etc, mutual decode bonding, technically overcome the adhesive structure problem, prolongs the soaking degradation reaction; currently the product may trigger it’s degradation reaction after soaking in water more than 100 hours. There are no plasticizer and other harmful substances added into the raw material mixture, thus Husk’sware products are biodegradable, and regress to nature. 5) Production Process:

The high temperature treatment of rice husk.

To crush the rice husk nearly to Nano powder.

Mixing the exclusive research & development starch, lignin and other natural adhesive materials according to proper proportion.

Put the raw materials mixture into the product steel mold properly.

At about high temperature of 350 DEG C, pressing with 400 kg mechanical molding pressure to form products.

Polishing and grinding.

Quality inspection and storage.

Clean and orderly production environment, no air pollution and water source pollution. (Refer to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001)


6 ) Safety of Rice husk tableware (Reference TUV test report: EN DIN 134322000):

Non economic benefit by-product of crops: rice husk, from raw material to warehouse, the whole production process has strictly enforce to guard by professional test agencies, only qualified  raw materials and products are allowed for storage, to ensure that consumers received absolutely safe tableware.

There are no plasticizer, fluorescent powder, solid pigment and other industrial chemical elements are added in the production process, thus it does not contain any harmful substances.

The production temperature range of rice husk fiber tableware is minus 30 DEG C to 120 DEG C (Reference : CTI Temperature detection Report SZPR1308071657501E),

The microwave heating temp is 1000W, but not more than 3 minutes and utensil must be heated containing with food. (Reference SGS microwave oven test report HKHL130700049784),

It’s featured dishwasher safe (Reference TUV test report, EN12857-1:2005-8) and recommended to wash with low alkaline detergent (PH7). 

The raw material mixture do not contain any petroleum based material, therefore it is easy to wash and not greasy.

Through high density manufacturing process, the natural rice husk wax has sealed the structure chink naturally, so that bacteria is unable to breed in the product.

8) Rice husk Tableware Remark:

The product ingredients does not contain any chemical intensify additives, therefore absolutely cannot bake in the oven, direct heating, cooking food or put into the high-temperature sterilization cabinet.

The climate at Northern China (or others dry climate country) is very dry, as the major composition of product is plant fiber, the hot expansion and cold contraction, so the need to take note of humidity level.

The fiber polymer products, do not contain plasticizers, soaking in water continuously (100 hours), will likely start the degradation function, but it will stop when drip dry

The correct way to use the microwave oven: Microwave defrost the food out of the refrigerator, and heating at high temperature (1000 W) for about 30 seconds to 3 minutes will do.

Although the product texture is solid, but if fall or strike beyond its impact pressure could withstand, then it will crack or cut jag.

The gloss surface is derived from natural rice husk wax, after high temperature compression molding process, reflected in the surface and form the bright surface, the gloss will gradually disappear after in use for a period of time; it is normal for natural substances to have this appearance.

For every batch or quarter of rice husk collection, there will be slightly color and luster discrepancy, the finished product retain its characteristic, like the marble, the natural color is not unify.

The rhyolite appeared on our product is formed during production process, it formed naturally when material ventilate, appearing with non standard natural sense of beauty.

Frequently make use of rice husk utensil for brewing coffee or tea and other beverage, after a long time, the internal will appear stubborn stain, but it is no harm as it belongs to the plant pigment, natural and harmless substances.

After the product is in used for a long time, the external to appear coarse and fade, mean it begin to age (old), you can consider replacing; but it can still continue to use safely and quality unchanged.
