Traditional hot water engineering in slaughterhouses usually uses boilers to produce hot water. Whether using electric steam boilers, gas steam boilers, gas steam boilers or methanol steam boilers, it not only consumes a lot of energy, but also requires manual adjustment of temperature for so many times, which easily leads to excessive fluctuation of water temperature. Thus, many  slaughterhouses owners have turned to the use of efficient energy-saving, intelligent control of air to water high temperature hot water heat pump units to supply hot water.

 

Due slaughterhouses need high temperature of hot water, if they only depends on air to water unit to heat up, the energy consumption and cost of operation will be relatively higher. Therefore, adopting the form of multi-energy combination and reasonably controlling the use time of different forms of energy can achieve more efficient and energy saving surposes. A slaughterhouse owner in Shanxi uses air to water high temperature heat pump, solar energy, electric steam generator hot water system in a slaughterhouse, which consumes almost the same power as the previous coal-fired boiler. It is good effective and the users are very satisfied with it.

Basic introduction of the project

The slaughterhouse slaughters about 100 pigs a day. The size of the high temperature pool is 1.8*2 m, the water depth is 60 cm, and the capacity is about 2.16 tons. Considering that some hot water is needed for cleaning pig's viscera, it is designed to be 4 tons of hot water according to the situation of the slaughterhouse. Hot water in high temperature pool of pig slaughterhouse is required to be constant at 59-60 C in summer and 61-62 C in winter.

 

The slaughterhouse used the water in the heating pool of the coal-fired steam boiler before. Two years ago, because of the implementation of the national coal ban policy, the slaughterhouse changed to methanol steam furnace, but the cost was too high. The average daily cost was about 300 yuan (44USD) (unit price was 3600 yuan/ton) (524USD/ton), whereas the average annual cost of coal burning was only 100 yuan/day. (15USD)

 

In addition, the methanol steam furnace needs to provide quality inspection report to the government environmental protection department every month, and the cost of each inspection is more than 2,000 yuan. After using methanol steam furnace for more than a month, customers stopped using it because of the high cost. Originally, we wanted to use solar energy + electric auxiliary + steam boiler to reform. Considering the later cost, we finally changed to air energy high temperature machine + solar energy + steam generator.
