During the export of LCL, after 11:00 noon one working day before the closing date of the order, due to the booker's reason, the cargo could not be shipped in time, which resulted in the empty space of LCL, and the LCL charged the Booker a fee to compensate for the loss.

The calculation of deficit fee is based on the cost of vacant space:

Specific calculation formula: loss of cargo = booking billing cubic x (full container sea freight + full container port of departure cost) / standard cubic number

Note: Standard cubic number: 25/20'50/40'60/40'HQ

Common Causes and Preventive Measures of Cabin Loss Fee?

(1) The holder did not cancel the booking in time for the cargo to enter the warehouse or cancel the booking temporarily.

Preventive: Please regularly communicate with the cargo owner before the closing date, and timely feedback information. And inform the cargo owner that he is responsible for notification, otherwise there will be a loss of shipping charges.

(2) A large proportion of overweight/shrinkage/overweight.

Preventive: Please ask each forwarder to request that the holder's order form be as consistent as possible with the actual cargo, and give timely notice of any changes.

(3) After entering the warehouse, it is found that the characteristics or specifications of the goods themselves make it impossible to carry the goods, such as "liquid/dangerous goods/super-large and super-heavy parts". Prevention: Please inform the shipper that our company does not undertake liquid/dangerous goods/semi-dangerous goods, and the super-large and super-heavy parts must be confirmed in advance.

(4) Customs inspection prevents timely shipment.

Preventive measures: All forwarders are requested to make the declaration form uniform, the documents uniform and the goods uniform. If the Customs has any questions, please cooperate with the customs declarer to give clear and timely reply to the customs.

What requirements do customs have to cooperate as far as possible to ensure timely shipment of goods?

It's cheaper to assemble boxes. Isn't it more cost-effective to assemble whole boxes?

On the surface, freight is saved, but the consignee will pay more at the destination port: for example, D/O, such as DTHC, UNLOADING CHARGE, etc. These costs add up to far more than the savings. Two shipments increase the consignee's TRUCKING FEE.
