Telefonica Establishes a New Global Digital Department

Telefonica has created a new global division focused on digital sales processes and consumer relations as part of its broader transformation plan announced at the end of 2019, while driving innovation.

 

The new chief digital consumer Office (CDCO) will be led by Chema Alonso, who was responsible for the company's data strategy and cognitive intelligence projects, Telefonica said in a statement.

 

CDCO is said to focus on promoting new digital products and services in the home sector, and expand its innovation efforts in the new customer relationship model through its virtual assistant aura.

 

Innovation in areas such as networks and relationships with business communities will also be within the new Department's remit.

 

Telefonica said the office would be run by a group of experienced professionals.
