ST and SC connectors are commonly used in general networks. After St head is inserted, there is a bayonet around the rotating half circle, which is easy to break; SC connector is directly inserted and inserted, which is very convenient to use, and the disadvantage is easy to fall out; FC connector is generally used in telecommunication network, with a nut screwed to the adapter, which has the advantages of firmness, dust prevention, and the disadvantage of slightly longer installation time.

MTRJ optical fiber patch cord consists of two high-precision plastic connectors and optical cables. The connector external parts are precision plastic parts, including push-pull type plug-in clamping mechanism. It is suitable for indoor application in telecommunication and data network system.

There are many kinds of optical fiber connectors, which are used to connect optical modules, and they cannot be used for each other. People who do not often contact with optical fiber may mistakenly think that the optical fiber connectors of GBIC and SFP modules are the same, but they are not. The SFP module is connected to the LC optical fiber connector, while the GBIC is connected to the SC optical fiber connector. The following is a detailed description of several commonly used optical fiber connectors in network engineering:

① FC type optical fiber connector: the external reinforcement method is metal sleeve, and the fastening method is screw buckle. Generally used on ODF side (most used on distribution frame)

② SC type optical fiber connector: the connector connecting GBIC optical module. Its shell is rectangular. The fastening method is plug pin latch type, without rotation. (most used on router switches)

③ St type optical fiber connector: commonly used in optical fiber distribution frame, the shell is round, and the fastening method is screw buckle. (for 10base-f connections, the connector is usually ST type. Commonly used in fiber distribution frame)

④ LC type optical fiber connector: the connector connecting the SFP module, which is made of the convenient modular jack (RJ) latch mechanism. (commonly used in routers)

⑤ MT-RJ: a square optical fiber connector with integrated transceiver, one end of which is dual fiber transceiver
