1. Magnetic field properties. Permanent magnet motor can maintain its magnetic field without external energy. Ordinary motors need current to create a magnetic field.

2. Rotor structure. Permanent magnet rotor is installed with a permanent magnet pole. Ordinary motor rotor is installed with excitation coil.

3. Applicable conditions. Permanent magnet motors are usually used in low-power situations. Ordinary motors, especially excitation motors, are often used in high-power situations.

4. Permanent magnet motor is a DC motor whose stator is permanent magnet and only the rotor is coil. Whle the stator of ordinary motor is coil (electromagnet).
