Shanghai, China -- November 21, 2019 -- TE Connectivity (TE), a global leader in innovative Connectivity solutions for high-speed computing and networking applications, announced the launch of its new zSFP+ stack-belly belly connector, which supports data rates up to 28 Gbps NRZ and 56 Gbps pam-4. The top unlock feature is a key feature of the zSFP+ family of products, enabling four belly to belly applications to enhance the panel interface density for VLCC and network switching applications and maximize space savings on printed circuit boards (PCBS).

The zSFP+ stacked belly to belly connector extension portfolio includes 2x4 and 2x12 configurations and is designed flexibly to meet different application requirements. The product is compatible with all SFP/SFP+/SFP28 product combinations using the same socket and housing size, thus enabling backward compatibility for easy design import and system upgrade.

Jimmy Ju, product manager of TE ConnecTIvity data and terminal equipment, said, "56 Gbps pam-4 is becoming the standard for very large data centers, high-end network switches and routers. Many of our customers are in need of both pam-4 support and higher panel density, and TE's new zSFP+ stacked belly belly connector meets the market needs and improves data center performance."
