 heat pump unit

Compared with solar energy, electric boiler, gas boiler and other heat source equipment, an important advantage of air source heat pup is its long service life. However, in reality, due to some installation design, improper use and inadequate maintenance and other factors, those things lead air source heat pump a greatly shortened service life, which will be scrapped in a few years. Then how can users extend the service life of the equipment in the use process?

 Air source heat pump

A. Read the operation manual carefully

If the heat pump unit is installed by the manufacturer, it is better to consult how to use the control panel during installation, and read the operation manual carefully. There are many buttons on the control panel of the hose, some of which are used to adjust the water temperature, some of which are timed. If the settings are wrong, the normal operation of the hose may be affected. For example, if you timed heating mode, the main engine will not start at other times.

When the user is setting, it is better not to adjust the temperature very high in order to pursue”heat”, because the unit will work longer and consume more power when the temperature is high. If the room temperature is set to 18C and 25C, the operation cost may double, so setting the appropriate room temperature is OK. Room ventilation should also be carried out when the outdoor temperature is high in the daytime.

B. Do not shut down the heat pump unit frequently

Air source heat pump is different from traditional household appliances such as TV and air conditioner in that it can’t cut off power frequently. The reason is that the air source heat pump is used for heat transfer with water as the intermediate medium. If the weather temperature is relatively low, once we turn of the air source heat pump when we go out, it may cause a large number of water temperature in the pipeline to drop sharply. If the temperature is too low, it may freeze the equipment, resulting in equipment failure.

If there is no one at home for a few days, the right way is to reduce the set temperature of air source heat pump unit to the minimum. In this way, it can ensure that there is a small amount of hot water circulating back and forth in the heat pump pipeline all the time without freezing. And because the temperature is very low, the energy consumption of the heat pump is also very little, which will not waste too much electric energy. If the air source heat pump must be turned off if it is not used for a long time, it is recommended to drain the water in the heat pump pipeline.
