In the actual design of air-conditioning cooling engineering, the selection of air-cooled units and water-cooled units can be considered and decided in the following ways:
1. In areas where there are strict restrictions on the use of water resources, there is no doubt that the design of refrigeration system with air-cooled units should be mainly considered. The building structure should be considered in terms of ventilation cross-section and floor bearing capacity, so as to ensure that the requirements of ventilation and heat transfer conditions of units can be met as far as possible.
2. If there are no outdoor cooling towers or no outdoor cooling towers in buildings due to the requirements of architectural design or the restrictions of the objective environment in which the buildings are located, the design of central air conditioning system needs to coordinate with the buildings and structures to consider the use of air-cooled unit refrigeration system, and the construction and structure of the main part of the air conditioning room. The design should focus on the load-bearing and meet the requirements of ventilation and heat transfer.
3. In the absence of the aforementioned constraints, the main engine of the air-conditioning refrigeration system should consider the use of water-cooled units as far as possible. This design form and technical cooperation are very common and mature in the current engineering field.
4. Consideration of system combination design. In some specific cases, using small capacity air-cooled units as auxiliary combination design of water-cooled unit system is a good design choice.
5. Water-cooled units are usually used in areas with large load, large refrigeration capacity or abundant water sources.
