The size standard of the pallet is an important standard for logistics unitization. Pallets are directly related to stored shelves, transported products, containers, transport vehicles, unloading platforms, and handling facilities. Therefore, the size of pallets is the basis for considering the size of other logistics equipment. The standard pallet size is 48” x 40”, with each deck board (board on top of pallet) being 3 ½” wide and 5/16” thick. When referring to pallet dimensions, always refer to the length first, and then the width.
