1) Avoid storing over-acidic food
White vinegar, aged vinegar, and acidic liquid such as juice should not be placed in it, because the electrolyte in these raw materials can chemically react with the stainless steel material, causing the elements to dissolve out excessively.
2) Avoid washing with strong base or strong oxidant
Such as alkaline water, soda and bleach, these strong electrolytes will also have an "electrochemical reaction" with certain components in stainless steel, which will erode stainless steel appliances and cause them to dissolve harmful elements.
3) Avoid boiling Chinese herbal medicine
The ingredient of Chinese herbal medicine is complex and most of them contain a variety of alkaloids and organic acids. When heated, they easily react with certain ingredients in stainless steel, and may even produce certain more toxic substances.
4) Avoid air burning
Because stainless steel has a low thermal conductivity relative to iron and aluminum products, the heat conduction is relatively slow. Air burning will cause the chrome plating layer on the surface of the cookware to aged and fall off.
