When purchasing heat pump for heating/cooling, mostly you may hear the salesmen talk about frequency conversion heat pump. The heat pump using full DC frequency conversion technology is much better than fixed frequency air to water heat pump. It saves energy and electricity. Is it right? 

The principle of constant frequency heat pump is different from that of variable frequency heat pump

According to the different speed control of compressor, heat pump can be divided into fixed frequency and variable frequency. The speed of fixed-frequency heat pump compressor is fixed, and the temperature regulation is realized by opening or stopping the compressor, the speed of variable-frequency heat pump compressor can be changed, the output of cold(heat) can be adjusted, and the temperature regulation can be realized by changing the speed of compressor.

Frequency conversion heat pump using frequency conversion control technology, can automatically select heating and refrigeration modes according to the ambient temperature, so that the room can quickly reach the required temperature in a short time and fluctuate with a small temperature difference under the condition of low speed and low energy consumption, thus achieving the effect of fast, energy saving and comfortable temperature control.

Frequency converter of frequency conversion heat pump realizes the automatic regulation of motor running frequency by converting current, and changes the fixed grid frequency of 50Hz to the current changing frequency of 20Hz to 130Hz, thus realizing the output of different compressor motor speed. When the frequency conversion heat pump works, when the power supply frequency is high, the compressor runs fast, the refrigeration (heat )capacity of the heat pump is large, and when the power supply frequency is low, the refrigeration(heat)capacity is small, which is the “’frequency conversion” principle of the frequency conversion heat pump.

The frequency conversion heat pump can be divided into AC frequency conversion and DC frequency conversion according to the difference of compressor and control system. Among them, full DC variable frequency heat pump operates well, using DC compressor and DC motor, more energy saving, temperature control technology more accurate. Also, temperature fluctuation is small, lower noise.
