The AS608 fingerprint module is an integrated fingerprint processing module integrating optical path and fingerprint processing. It features small size, low power consumption, simple interface, high reliability, fast identification speed, good adaptability of dry and wet fingers, and fast fingerprint searching speed.

The AS608 module communication interface is the communication interface of USB and UART.

working principle

1. Fingerprint features

The features extracted from the acquired fingerprint image by the fingerprint algorithm represent the fingerprint information.The storage, comparison and search of fingerprints are all done by manipulating fingerprint features.

2. Fingerprint processing includes two processes: fingerprint login process and fingerprint matching process [where fingerprint matching is divided into fingerprint comparison (1:1) and fingerprint search (1:n)].

When the fingerprint is logged in, it is recorded twice for each fingerprint, and the images recorded twice are processed. The synthetic template is stored in the module.

When the fingerprint is matched, input fingerprint image to be verified and processed through the fingerprint sensor, and then match and compare with the fingerprint template in the module (if matched with a template specified in the module, it is called fingerprint comparison method, namely 1:1 method;If it is matched with multiple templates, it is called fingerprint search mode (i.e. :N mode), and the module gives the matching result (pass or fail).
