EAC Cooling tower fill Cross Flow PVC Cooling Tower Infill 

COOLING TOWER FILL is also named as cooling tower filler, cooling tower infill, cooling tower fill packing and cooling tower fill media.Cooling tower fill is made of PVC or PP plain plate, hot pressed in the certain mould and then produced to be different designs used in different cooling towers. Especially in the industrial cooling towers.
No matter how to name it, the main usage is a media located in the bottom or middle of the industrial cooling tower. Some of towers will be full of the fill media, others will have half and half of the tower. Only large industrial tower will install 1 layer in the bottom.

There is another import difference of cooling tower fill, that is cross flow cooling tower fill and counter flow cooling tower fill.

1 Cross flow cooling tower fill make the water meet the air crossly, when cooling airentry the tower from two sides, the hot water come down to the tower from top. This meeting between hot water and cooling air was named cross flow. The result is the water become the lower temperature and flow away from the tower bottom, and the hot air is uprising in the tower top.

2 The other is counter flow cooling tower fill, the working principle is that cool air entry in the tower from bottom when the cooling tower fill located in the center is full of the tower, when the hot water come down the tower from top, the cool air low the water temperature when all water is scattered all around the fill media surface. After the temperature lowing, the cooling water will flow out on the bottom, and the hot air will lift in the tower top.

All cooling tower fill is same density? No. PVC fill density is 1.45, PP fill density is 1.1.

Different density decide the different weight if the length,width and thickness are same. Square PVC fill is same measure as the Square PP fill, but the round PVC fill measure is larger than PVC fill. That because PP is not flexible as the PVC. If the PVC roll diameter is 750mm,the PP roll is nearly 1000mm. That will be occupy large space in the container.

How to install the cooling tower fill?Different kinds of cooling tower fill will decide how to be installed in the tower. Some is hanging through pipes in tower,some is placed block by block after gluing and some is loose round roll by ring and ring. When we glue the fill block by machine,we pay more attention to the joint point and make sure every points are full of glue and make the block very strong without any loose. When we hang the large width of fill in the tower, we need to make sure the pipe is smooth and clean to avoid any shark break in the fill sheets, and also need to make sure honeycomb hole is right connected. All of proper installation should be based on the good mould,and only by then we manufacture the good quality cooling tower fill to keep the right distance with the tower floor.
