The HB100 microwave module is a microwave moving object detector designed with the principle of Doppler Radar. It is mainly used in automatic door control switch, safety protection system, automatic video recording control system of ATM, automatic train signal and other places.
HB100 is a standard 10.525ghz microwave doppler radar detector. Compared with other detection methods, this detection method has the following advantages:
1. Non-contact detection;
2. It is not affected by temperature, humidity, noise, airflow, dust and light, and is suitable for harsh environment;
3. Strong resistance to rf interference;
4. Low output power, no harm to human body;
5. Long distance: the detection range is more than 20 meters.

power supply:
There are two power supply modes for HB100: CW mode and PW mode: the adaptive voltage range of HB100 is 5V plus or minus 5%.When working in CW mode, the typical current is 35mA (typical value).HB100 is recommended to be supplied to low duty cycle pulse power supply (PW) systems with 5V, pulse width ranging from 5 microns to 30 microns, frequency ranging from 2 to 4kHz, and frequency ranging from 2.0khz.The average current of 3 ~ 10% duty cycle pulse power supply is 1.2ma ~ 4mA.

The pulse power supply voltage must be between 4.75v and 5.25v, and the flatness of the pulse top will affect the detection ability of HB100.When the power supply voltage exceeds 5.25v, its reliability decreases and may cause rf output outside the nominal frequency and permanent damage to the circuit.

RF Output

In all recommended operating modes, the rf power output of the HB100 is very low and works within a safe range that is not harmful to human body.When working in CW mode, the total output power is less than 15mW.The output power density is 1mW/cm2 at 5mm, 0.72 microns /cm2 at 1m.The power density decreases to 50 microns /cm2 and 0.036 microns /cm2, respectively, while operating in pulse power supply mode with 5 percent duty cycle.

IF Output

When the object moves radially in the effective detection range of HB100 at a speed of 1m/s relative to the antenna surface of HB100 (the non-aluminum shielding cover side is the antenna surface), the IF output of HB100 is 72Hz/ s, and the pulsation output frequency of HB100 is approximately linear with the relative radial movement speed of the object.The output amplitude of IF is related to the size and distance of the object. When a 70kg weight and 170cm height tester moves radially from HB100 1m to 1m/s speed relative to HB100, the output amplitude of IF is 5mV and 72Hz/s pulse signal. The output amplitude of IF is approximately inversely proportional to the square of the distance.

Note:

1. The detection range depends on the reflectivity and size of the target as well as the signal-to-noise ratio.

2.10.525ghz doppler velocity is 31Hz/ M.P.H

3. The installation module must make its antenna surface (the non-aluminum shielding cover side is the antenna surface) towards the detected area, and the user can adjust the direction to achieve the best coverage area.

Simple fault judgment

The IF output of HB100 is easily broken down during welding. The diode file of the multimeter is used to measure the pressure drop of IF on GND and GND on IF. Under normal conditions (vif-gndvgnd-if), the voltage drop is about 0.25V, respectively.
