A:The distance between fitting center and wall edge; B: The distance between two fittings; H: height between ceiling and floor In order to illuminate walls uniformly, A is equal to 1/3 H, or slightly less. As to experience, A<B<1.2A will get the best performance.

A shorter distance to the wall reduces the risk of glare and improves lighting efficiency, but also decreases uniformly.

To achieve uniform illumination of a wall by overlapping several light distribution area is necessary, at least three wall washers are required.
